A Miracle Tuesday: Holding Sorrow and Profound Joy.

Hello, my lovely boutique family!  This week, my heart is being stretched in ways I never could have imagined.  I think many of you know the deep rollercoaster of emotions that comes when family is holding onto deep worry and profound joy all at the same time.

My son-in-law's father, Edwin Nunez, is currently in the hospital fighting a very tough battle with a blood infection.  He has been on dialysis for quite some time and he has significant heart issues.  He has faced so many health battles and we have witnessed the miracle of God on more than one occasion.  At the exact same time, in the same hospital, Edwin's daughter-in-law went into labor and with an emergency C-section delivered a brand new precious life into the family.

I am overjoyed to share that little baby Juliette was born completely healthy, and both mama and baby are doing wonderfully!  I should include new dad Matt and daughter T, who are ecstatic, and can't get enough of this new precious one!  Praise God for protecting them through the intense moments.  Another miracle!   

And just as we celebrate this sweet new life, we are reminded that our Heavenly Father is always doing a new thing in us, too.  No matter how heavy the night, His mercies are new every morning.  Out of the ashes, He invites us to Rise Anew in His grace, strength, and restoration. 

My daughter, Sarah, and her husband also have been very busy spending time caring for Edwin's foster children and adopted daughter so his sweet wife Sherry could be by his side at the hospital.  I know it has not been easy for them but they have really stepped up to help along with the entire family.  It is quite moving to see the hands and feet of Jesus at work.

In honor of baby Juliette's arrival and the incredible strength of this family, I sat down at my desk and designed a brand new collection called Lilacs and Lavender Littles.  Our very first piece features a beautiful, high contrast text layout with the phrase "fragrance of Christ."  It is a gentle reminder that even in the middle of hospital rooms and hard seasons, the sweetness and grace of the Lord are always present, surrounding our tiny babies in love.
